Bio
I am Christine Cai(-square distributed, with 99 degrees of freedom (you wonder why 99? Well, why not?)). I am currently a Research Scientist at Prosperity Now. I completed my Ph.D. in Economics at Princeton University in 2023.
I am an applied economist specializing in causal inference, with hands-on experience building and validating (causal) machine learning and quasi-experimental methods in Python, R, Stata, and SQL. I leverage my expertise in causal inference to solve real-world problems. I enjoy diving deep into data, refining econometric models, improving data workflows and visualizations, and translating complex methods and findings into clear recommendations for non-technical audiences. I thrive working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
I’m currently seeking my next role where I can leverage my expertise in causal inference and/or labor economics to solve real-world problems while continuing to grow professionally.
